The MBTI® Team Report summarizes the results for a team of respondents who have all completed the MBTI® Step I™ assessment. Each team report includes a facilitator report summarizing the respondents’ results, plus individual reports for each team member.
To generate the MBTI Team Report, you’ll need to set up a team with three or more respondents.
If you are looking to generate a new MBTI® Team Report and all respondents already have a verified type in other projects, see how to set up a team with verified types.
For more information on administering and facilitating the TKI Team Report, view our Facilitator Guide.
Step 1: Setting up a project and adding the MBTI® Team Report
You can add the MBTI Team Report to a project during the project creation process, or at any point after your project has been set up. Click or tap an option below for more information.
New project
When setting up a new project, look out for the Add reports step.
On this page, find the MBTI Team Report in Your reports or All reports, then choose Add to project.
If you don’t have available inventory for the report, you can buy licenses at the end of the project creation process.
Existing project
To add the MBTI Team Report to an existing project:
- Choose the Projects + Reports tab on your Elevate® account.
- Click or tap the project name in your projects list.
- Choose the Add Reports + Support Materials tab for the project.
- Find the MBTI Team Report in Your reports or All reports, then choose Add to project. If you don’t currently have available inventory for the report, you’ll need to buy licenses before you can generate a report.
Note: The MBTI Team Report cannot be set to auto-generate.
Step 2: Checking respondents’ assessment progress
Respondents need to complete their assigned MBTI assessments and you need to generate their individual MBTI reports before you can add them to a team.
To check your respondents’ progress, choose the Manage Respondents + Download Reports tab for your project. Here you can also send assessment reminders to your respondents if you’d like to. Simply choose the Remind link under a respondent’s name to send a reminder email.
When all team members have completed their assessments, continue to step 3 to generate respondents’ individual reports.
Step 3: Generating individual MBTI® reports and confirming best-fit type
To generate individual MBTI reports, check the box next to each respondent’s name in the Download Reports column, then click or tap the column heading.
We recommend providing MBTI Step I feedback to your respondents before setting up your team. This allows each respondent to discuss their personality preferences and verify their best-fit four-letter type. It’s important that each respondent’s verified type is used to generate the MBTI Team Report. Otherwise, the report might not be accurate for the team.
If a respondent’s verified type differs from their reported type based on their assessment results, you can update this by choosing the Edit link under that respondent’s name.
You can also add respondents who already know their best-fit type to the project using the Add respondents button. Respondents who have already verified their four-letter type do not need to complete the MBTI assessment again.
When all respondents have verified their four-letter type, you are ready to create your team.
Step 4: Creating your teams
To create your team:
- Choose the Manage Teams tab for your project.
- Under Create new teams, you’ll see a list of respondents who have completed the MBTI assessment in this project. Select three or more respondents from this list.
- Click or tap the Create new team button to create your team.
Step 5: Downloading the MBTI® Team Report
Under Your teams, choose the team you want to download reports for, then click or tap the Download reports button.
If you’re downloading a new report, you’ll see a note confirming the number of licenses used from your inventory. If you don’t have enough licenses, you’ll be prompted to buy more inventory to continue.
If you have previously downloaded the MBTI Team Report for your team, you can download additional copies free of charge.
